Terms & Conditions

Last updated: September 2026. These are the terms on which Apollo Heating & Maintenance Ltd ("Apollo", "we", "us") provides quotes and carries out work. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy.

Who we are

Apollo Heating & Maintenance Ltd is a company registered in England & Wales, company no. 14662767, registered office The Poplars, Grays Park Road, Stoke Poges, Slough, SL2 4JG. Our lead engineer is Gas Safe registered (no. 625257). You can contact us at info@apollowarm.co.uk or 07951 635 201.

Quotes and pricing

Quotes given through this website, by phone, by email or in person are estimates based on the information available at the time and, where relevant, a visual inspection. They're normally valid for 30 days unless we say otherwise. The final price can change if, once work starts, we find something that couldn't reasonably have been seen beforehand (for example a hidden pipe, unsafe wiring, or asbestos) — if that happens, we'll always explain the extra cost and get your agreement before doing further work. Prices include VAT where applicable.

Accepting a quote

A job is only booked in once you've accepted a specific written quote from us (by email, text, or signing a job sheet) — submitting the online Free Quote form is just an enquiry and doesn't commit you to anything. Once you accept a quote, that acceptance, together with these terms, forms the contract between us.

Your right to cancel (14-day cooling-off period)

If we agree a job with you somewhere other than a business premises — which, in practice, means almost every job we do, since we don't have a shop or office you visit — this counts as an "off-premises contract" under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. The same applies if a job is agreed entirely by phone, email or through this website without us visiting first (a "distance contract"). In both cases, you normally have 14 calendar days from the day you accept our quote to change your mind and cancel, without giving a reason and without charge.

To cancel, just tell us clearly — by phone, email, text, or in writing — that you want to cancel, ideally quoting your quote reference or job details. You don't need to use a special form, though you're welcome to just say "I wish to cancel my order for [job/quote reference], accepted on [date]." If you've already paid a deposit, we'll refund it within 14 days of your cancellation.

Exception for urgent, specifically-requested repairs: if you contact us asking us to attend urgently for a repair or maintenance job — a boiler breakdown or a leak, say — the law doesn't give a cancellation right for that call-out and the work needed to put it right, because you've asked us to act straightaway. If, once we're there, you also ask us to do other, non-urgent work, that separate work does still carry the normal 14-day cancellation right.

Asking us to start before the 14 days are up: if a job doesn't fall under the urgent-repair exception above but you'd like us to start work before the 14-day period ends, we'll ask you to confirm that in writing first (for example by text or email, or by signing our job sheet). If you cancel after work has started at your request, you may have to pay for the reasonable value of work already carried out and materials already used, up to the point you cancelled.

Payment

Unless we agree otherwise in writing, payment is due on completion of the work. For larger jobs (such as boiler installations) we may ask for a deposit to cover materials, and agree stage payments in advance — we'll always set this out clearly in your quote before you accept it. We accept the payment methods shown on our quote or invoice. Any boiler, cylinder, or other equipment we supply remains our property until it's been paid for in full, even after it's fitted at your property.

If an invoice isn't paid by its due date, we may charge reasonable interest on the overdue amount, at 3% a year above the Bank of England base rate, from the due date until you pay.

Access, permissions and getting the property ready

You're responsible for making sure we (and any materials we bring) can get to the work area safely and at the agreed time, and for having any permission you need to have the work done — for example landlord, freeholder, or mortgage lender consent if you don't own the property outright, and building regulations sign-off where that's needed (we'll tell you if a job needs it, and for gas appliance and boiler installations we notify building control ourselves under our Gas Safe registration). Please make sure someone aged 18 or over is present, or that we otherwise have clear access, for the whole visit.

Planned work is normally quoted and scheduled for daytime hours, though emergency call-outs are available 24/7. Our quote assumes a straightforward job as described to us, with normal access to the work. If we turn up and can't get in, can't safely reach the work (for example a loft with no boarding, lighting or fixed ladder), or find the property isn't as described, we may need to rearrange or requote — we'll always talk to you before doing so.

What isn't included

Our quotes cover the specific job agreed and don't include making good decoration, flooring, or plastering disturbed by necessary work (for example where a pipe has to be chased into a wall) — you're responsible for any redecoration afterwards, unless we've damaged something through our own negligence. We're not responsible for pre-existing faults in your plumbing, heating, gas or electrical systems that we didn't cause and weren't asked to fix, or for problems that come to light because of them. If we encounter suspected asbestos, we'll stop that part of the work and let you know — removing it isn't something we do, and it isn't included in our price unless we've said so.

Workmanship and guarantee

All work is carried out to the relevant industry standards and, where applicable, manufacturer requirements — installations of Worcester Bosch and Vaillant boilers are backed by the manufacturer's own extended warranty when registered by us as an accredited installer, in addition to our own 12-month guarantee on parts and labour. Manufacturer parts are covered by the manufacturer's own warranty terms, and usually require an annual service (which we're happy to carry out) to stay valid.

If something's outside our control

Neither of us is responsible for delay or failure to carry out the work if it's caused by something reasonably outside our control — for example severe weather, a supplier or parts shortage, or the property not having a suitable gas or water supply available. If that happens, we'll let you know as soon as we can and agree a new plan with you.

Liability and insurance

We carry public liability insurance and take reasonable care to protect your property while working. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't legally be limited or excluded. Beyond that, our liability for loss or damage arising from a job is limited to the value of that job, except where we've been negligent in causing damage to your property while carrying out the work.

Complaints

If something isn't right, please contact us directly first using the details above so we can put it right. As a Gas Safe registered engineer, our lead engineer is also subject to the Gas Safe Register's own standards — you can find out more, or raise a concern, at gassaferegister.co.uk.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England & Wales, and any dispute will be dealt with by the courts of England & Wales.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes in how we work or in the law — the version that applies to your job is the one in force when you accept your quote.
